Event Information
A Yale-educated attorney, New York Times best-selling author, and civil rights leader, Jones is best known for his work as a White House advisor under the Obama administration and currently appears on CNN as a frequent political correspondent. He will be coming to the Anderson Center at Binghamton University on Sunday April 23rd as the conclusion to the Student Association?s International Fest+, a miniature outdoor festival showcasing the diversity of the Binghamton University community which will also be doubling as a massive fundraiser for the Broome County Urban League. The combination of these two events will be the kickoff for the Multicultural Resource Center?s first annual Diversity Week, jam-packed with a full week of programming coordinated by many of the largest multicultural organizations on campus. Done in conjunction with Campus Activities, this engagement will be completely free and open to the public. Come join us as Van Jones discusses his experiences as a pundit of color within the political system and analyzes the implications of our current national climate. The event is completely free; however, those wishing to take a picture with Van Jones must purchase a ticket here.
